The mall offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafes and over a hundred retail stores and services, including mall-anchor Hong Kong Food Market. Beyond the gift shops, toy stores and bubble tea outposts, most visitors make a point to stop at the grocery store while they’re at Hong Kong City Mall. The expansive market is filled with a mind-boggling assortment of odd produce, seafood (anyway you like it), smelly durian, and even an entire frozen food aisle dedicated to fake meat. If you’re still hungry afterwards, venture over to the west wing of the mall for all-star dim sum at Ocean Palace.

Chinatown

At over six square miles in Southwest Houston, Chinatown is considered one of the largest automobile-focused Chinatowns in the nation. A mini city itself, Houston Chinatown has grown dramatically over the last three decades since the first businesses opened there in the early 1980s. But contrary to its name, Chinatown is representative of the city's very diverse Asian population as a whole. Here visitors find Vietnamese restaurants, Chinese markets, Korean gift shops, Buddhist temples and Japanese teahouses.

Galleria

 Multi-taskers and shopaholics rejoice in the glory of the Galleria and its 375-plus stores and grand ice rink. Flanked by Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and Macy's, the Galleria is akin to New York's Fifth Avenue or Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, with shops like Louis Vuitton, Montblanc, Chanel, Gucci and Versace. The sprawling mall also has hip designer boutiques like Tory Burch and Betsey Johnson, plus J. Crew, Lululemon and Aveda.
